Butterfly Koi
This article examines the types of koi known as butterfly koi. Also called longfin koi or long fin koi, they are identical to regular Japanese koi, but they have longer fins and tails. Not to be confused with butterfly fish, this koi variety was developed from Indonesian carp. The article examines the physical attributes of this koi fish and explains why it is perhaps the perfect subject for koi artwork.
