KYOTO WALKING TOUR (May 10~22, 2020) This 13-day tour offers something for everyone. The trip will visit all of the finest Japanese gardens in the Kyoto area. Along the way we will visit about a dozen private homes as well as exquisite inns & restaurants. You'll get to meet real Japanese families and see how they live. Also included are unique learning opportunities related to ikebana, bamboo, gardening, textiles, calligraphy, and the Japanese tea ceremony. KYOTO WALKING TOUR (October 18~30, 2020) This is a 13-day tour of the top-ranked Japanese Gardens and Sukiya Living Environments in the Kyoto area. The tour includes special visits to many private homes and difficult-to-see Imperial sites. This tour will place a special emphasis on the study of Japan's residential living environment. Included are unique events such as carpentry and tree pruning demonstrations, a visit to a tatami-maker's shop, and opportunities to participate in calligraphy, ikebana, and the Japanese tea ceremony.
